A Mac cleaner that tells you whether each file comes back
SiftMac is a Mac cleaner that tells you, for every item, whether it comes back before anything is deleted. Most cleaners show one big number and a Clean button. SiftMac shows what is actually filling your disk and gives each item a plain answer: - Comes back on its own: caches, logs and temp files that apps rebuild. Cleared right away. - Yours to decide: downloads, unused apps and their leftovers, duplicates, large and old files, the Trash. Anything that can't rebuild waits 7 days on the Undo Shelf, so one click puts it back where it was. - In use: if an open app is using it, SiftMac leaves it alone. What it finds: - System Data, explained part by part - Developer files: node_modules, Python environments, Xcode DerivedData and simulators, Docker - AI files: Claude Code, Codex and Cursor chats, Ollama and Hugging Face models - Unused apps and leftovers, duplicates, Mail and Messages attachments, login items - Honest sizes: APFS clones and hard links are counted once Plus a menu bar quick clean and a disk-full forecast that tells you when your Mac will run out of space at the pace you're going. Nothing leaves your Mac: no account, and your files, names and scan results stay on it. Your Photos library is never touched. Scanning is free, and so is your first 2 GB of cleaning. Then pay once: $12 for the first 100 buyers (then $19) for 2 Macs, or $29 for the Family pack on 5 Macs. No subscription, free updates, 14-day refund. Built by Mohit, a solo developer in India.
